Required material(s)

5-6 years old :

  • Nylon stockings (1 per 8 children)
  • Rubber bands (1 per child)
  • Variety of containers
  • Craft material
  • Alfalfa seeds
  • Seeding soil
  • Scissors

7-8 and 9-12 years old :

  • Various containers with lids (e.g., yoghurt pots, plastic cups)
  • Seeds to sprout
  • Craft material
  • Seeding soil
  • Scissors

13 years old + :

  • Variety of organic sprouting seeds (see the counselor’s sheet)
  • Bottom half of a plastic water bottle
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Seeding soil
  • Spray bottle
  • Scissors
  • Felt
